In Queen’s Beginning, a game jam project centered around the theme "hive," I served as the sole artist responsible for all visual aspects of the game during my time in the Berkeley game development decal. The game features a queen bee collecting flowers to attract more bees to her hive, using them to defend against predators like spiders and hornets while racing to reach safety. My role involved designing character sprites, including the queen bee, hive bees, and enemies, as well as creating environmental tiles, ui assets and vibrant backgrounds that complemented the game's theme. Working closely with two programmers, I ensured that the visuals enhanced the gameplay mechanics, making the experience intuitive and engaging. This project challenged me to deliver cohesive, functional, and visually appealing assets within tight deadlines, showcasing my ability to create immersive game worlds.
